Misplaced Ruins

Category: Exhibit Design
Location: Peruvian Pavilion, Venice, Italy
Client: Fundación Wiese
Commissioner: Armando Andrade de Lucio
Curator: Max Hernández-Calvo
Artists: Raimond Chaves & Gilda Mantilla

For the Peruvian exhibition at the Venice Art Biennale 2015 we worked meticulously with the commissioner Armando Andrade, the curator Max Hernández-Calvo, and artists Raimond Chaves and Gilda Mantilla to render the idea on the historical area where the Peruvian pavilion is located. We focused the attention on the entrance to the space using the artists’ centrepiece, accompanied with two side accesses and a curtain hanging from the beams to mark the entrance. The materials chosen for the construction of the pavilion are fully recyclable and so are the art pieces.
