The artists often find themselves with having to exhibit their work in very different spaces that sometimes ends up being incompatible with the assembly of their works. This is the case of the participation of Peruvian artist Elena Damiani at the Venice Art Biennale 2015 at the Central pavilion. Unable to screw the marble sculptures into the floor of the pavilion, we designed a “carpet” in rough stainless steel plates, by doing so, we had the three heavy columns stably supported on the floor without any pedestals. The crude steel carpet did not compete with the artist’s work but rather gave a framework that enhanced the art pieces.
